Founded in 1967, in 2012 the ISRP Paris moved to upscale premises in Boulogne-Billancourt, a sought-after area just outside Paris.

Since its foundation, the ISRP has played a key role in the development of the psychomotor therapy profession in France and abroad. Through its ongoing commitment to the authorities, the ISRP helped establish the State Diploma in Psychomotricity in 1974, draft the Decree of Competence in 1988, acquire the status of medical auxiliary in 1995, integrate psychomotricity into the Ministry's health plans, and formulate HAS recommendations since the early 2000s. It has also been instrumental in gaining recognition for the profession in Europe, Africa and several Latin American countries.

The ISRP Paris can accommodate up to 220 students per class.
